Don't know a thing about it other than Advance Auto has it on sale.

2oz for $1.41. Might be good "carry" oil.

    https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/lucas-oil-products-gun-oil-2-oz.-10006/10629740-P

I don't know how good the oil is, but if by 'carry' you mean keep it with you on a daily basis I would find something with a better container. It has a twist nozzle like an elmers glue bottle, and I found out the hard way it doesn't seal well over time.

I bought a bottle at NAPA and put it in a small toolbox full of gun cleaning supplies, and it fell over. About 40% of the oil was left of the full (once opened, never used) bottle when I found it. Fortunately it was a plastic toolbox and not a toolbag. No real loss but I now have a full package of 'pre-oiled' patches and several bottles of cleaning supplies with unreadable labels. :)

I use Renthal chain oil in a plastic bottle for my motorcycle chains and have found the bottle is also good for carrying Mobile-1 oil that I use for my mountain bike. It should be OK for carrying Lucas oil.

Pleasantly surprised, I’ve got these across all benches and vehicle boxes (but, no bags): https://www.amazon.com/Liberty-Oil-...words=needle+oil+bottle&qid=1625917702&sr=8-3

Disclaimer: they’re great for LUBricants, NOT (NO) “solvents” …

ETA: LOL, what a coincidence, just noticed the “medical grade” and “18 gauge” references which is the exact same size of the needle used to drain my left knee last Tuesday … funnnnnnn that was :lol2:

Like most of their products, I find the Lucas gun oil good stuff but overpriced.

This sale fixes that last part, however....

Gonna pick up a bottle or two of the extreme. Thanks!!!

Carry oil, as in your range bag. Like I said, don't know a thing about it. Good to know  that at least one of those bottles may leak though .

Used to wear contact lenses. The "saline" solution bottles work really well. I have no large bottles left but a handful of the travel size. No leaks and relatively precise application.

I was at the OC Air Show a few weeks back. Lucus Oil was delivering their fine products via biplanes to military users in helicopters. That's customer service!

So I picked up 4 bottles of the extreme oil today. At that price, couldn't help myself as I'd been wanting to try it for a while. I havent used it yet but the bottles themselves are much nicer than the regular red oil. Has a nice metal precision tip.

Guy at the counter said others were buying them (he had my online order confused with someone else's) and that once they were gone they weren't getting more. If that's true then this is more of a clearance than a sale.

He also said he was gonna pick up a bottle himself.

Glen Burnie store had 3 bottles left of the extreme and 6 or so of the regular as of 8:45pm. For what it's worth, their in store prices were marked slightly higher (like $2.60 or so) so you can save a little bit by doing an online order for pickup.

Thanks again for the heads up!

I had some speed perks so I got them for a buck a piece. Figured the bottle is worth it. Gifts to add, sweeting trade deals, throw in the truck door pocket. Then when used up I'll used thin sauce and call it a day. Thanks for the heads up.

I picked up 4 bottles of their regular gun oil at Advance Auto a couple of weeks ago, hard to beat for the price.
I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon. It does look a lot like red ATF.

While I have been using Mobil 1 for many years (yes, longer than Chad), I decided to give the Lucas Extreme Gun Oil a try since the club got a million samples from someone. I like that it seems to stay where you put it more so than Mobil 1. That may not mean anything as a thin film seems to work ok in my gasoline engines. But I also like that it is still there without any visible breakdown after running 200 rounds through my 300 BO AR pistol. That may not mean anything either but that is my experience with the stuff.

I've been using the extreme duty gun oil for a bit. It works well and doesn't burn off in ARs very quickly.

I use their CLP quite a bit(4oz bottle, not the spray), good stuff, cleans well, and seems to stay put better than Break free or mil-spec CLP. Decent useable bottle, and sold pretty much everywhere.
