Would like to introduce myself to the forums. I recently found out about the website and made a couple posts prior to seeing the "Introductions" forum.

I am originally from Texas, but have lived the majority of my life in this non-free state. I am obviously pro-2A, and would like to help in whatever way possible to make concealed carry a more realistic opportunity for law abiding civilians.

I also wouldn't mind going to the range. I only have one friend that likes to shoot and it's hard to get people to shoot with.

    Have a great day!

Welcome from a fellow noob. You're close to the AGC range, happy to meet up and shoot sometime just give me a shout.

    Mark

Hello from another pseudo-noob in Ellicott City. Have been thinking about joining one of the AGC clubs myself. Anyone know if they still prorate the range badge fee for first time members of one of the clubs this time of year?

You might also try the PG County Trap and Skeet Center or The Machine Gun Nest out in Frederick...I've always run into very welcoming people at both of those.

I believe they will prorate the badge, I know my club garrison is running range orientation regularly and accepting new members. Also if you're interested at agc tomorrow night and Sunday is some action shooting and 3 gun on the 200 yard range. Come by if you're interested it's a lot of fun

You can check it out. Recommend you do the following.

    -Join an affiliated club.
-Attend the club arranged tour/safety briefing. (bring ear protection!)
-Purchase a (pro rated 1/2 year) range badge.
    -Purchase/make a target stand.
-Use the club to shoot your favorite firearm.

There is an AGC section here on the forum. You can pre read the range rules.

Also another typical question is, "what club"? There are several. If you want more organized events, typically the clubs are a bit more expensive and ask that you attend mandatory meetings. Other clubs, like mine, are more "shoot more, talk less". Again have a look at the clubs on the AGC website. As well some are represented here, and members will chime in about "their" club.
