    Here's what the CDC came up with the last time they were asked to research defensive use of guns. Namely, good guys and gals protect themselves and others up to 2.5 million times a year. If just one percent of those events saves an innocent life, that's 25,000 people each year. What's that line about "if it saves just one life...?"
