I am in the process of acquiring parts to assemble an AR15 pistol. I have a SBA4 brace and the buffer tube that it comes with.

Is there any restriction on the OAL of the pistol as a whole? If I put a 10.5inch barrel on it my guesstimate is that it will be approx 25inches OAL (from end of buffer tube to the end of the barrel threading not including flash hider which will NOT be pinned/welded.) will this be legal?

    (its going to be 5.56/.223)
I do have a unused lower receiver so no concerns there, just want to be doubly sure about the OAL "issue" (or non issue)

Any restrictions on flash hiders/compensators/etc? (I have a YHM flash hider I am planning to use, I believe its a YHM-27 or 28 but I dont have it with me here to be sure)

Considering a Faxon 10.5inch pencil profile barrel, my understanding is that barrel profile doesnt matter on pistols correct?

Thanks for any help, I have looked in other threads and I think the above is going to be all OK, but want second opinions before potentially making a no-no :innocent0

google is your friend, I am not.
OAL restrictions are for rifles in this state, not pistols.

If the Faxon 10.5 a carbine or pistol length gas system? The barrel profile does not matter. I am just curious about the Faxon ( for the future).

Optics Planet is showing me $141.55 using that link.

I should have done it during the 4th of July or Labor Day sales, IIRC it was ~$110 after all discounts direct from Faxon. (25% off sale, then another 10% off veteran)

But I was not sure that I wanted to build one at the time, I just got the itch again lol

The overall length only matters if you put a vertical foregrip on it. Since hand-stops and AFGs exist, just use one of those and avoid the whole headache.

Try coupon code USCCA19B, $127.39 in my cart.

I realize I have an app called "Honey" that automatically tries a bunch of coupon codes to get the best price.
