I've been following this thread, so I am aware or the issues associated with the build.Where can I get snap caps? Won't be live firing for awhile. Thanks.

    Amazon

I also know A1Uniform has them in stock

Mine is feeding live rounds. I don't like cycling them without making them go bang. I think I have more tinkering with the rat file at the recoil spring channel. A tiny bit of binding. At first or was the takedown lever spring not being fully seated. Put sights on.

Cain arms P80 magwell off fleabay. The color sux. Black would have looked better. But, it works great.

Finished my compact build recently, went low cost and did 9mm Swenson slide/barrel and OEM Glock slide/lower parts kits. First trip to the range today went well, put 200 rounds through it...one stovepipe in the middle of the first mag but then flawless the rest of the time. Guess I got lucky as nothing required fitting/tweaking. All went together super easy.

Edit to show costs for anyone interested:
Swenson slide - $149 (sale price at MidwayUSA)
Swenson barrel - $89 (sale price at MidwayUSA)
OEM Glock lower kit - $49
OEM Glock upper kit - $79
OEM Glock polymer sights - $10 from eBay
So with the P80 kit I got at the last Chantilly show ($120) came in at $496 for parts.

Congrats. Should post up your costs on the thread for that.

    I tallied mine up...

This is the most expensive pistol I have!

$875! And I only have one mag for it.

Now, it has $170 Faxon barrel,$270 slide w/RMR cut,$80 Wheaton arms elite trigger (That was a ebay steal), Zev UPK, Tangodown mag& slide releases and Ameriglo NS.

That's not bad considering all the extras you put into it. I got about $720 in mine. I used a Brownells slide, an Apex tactical trigger and Ameriglo sites. Everything else is stock Glock. I polished the locking block, rear rails and trigger assembly and it runs like a dream.

Yeah, I knew it would be high. When you buy a part here and there, even when it a good price,it still adds up. I didn't want a stock "glock". I would have got the Gen5 or G19x instead. I'm really happy with the end result.

I like the idea of posting up build costs with pictures, and would encourage others to do so.

Where are people getting these $80 upper kits?

My newest non existent pistol 9mm converted from a G22
Third picture with it little brother in 357 Sig converted from a G23
It had spent trijicon’s on it but the new sights won’t be here until tomorrow.
I like using the 40 caliber slides, they’re cheaper on fleabay and I can always go back and forth with calibers, not so much with the 9 slides.
