After more than a year of waiting, my custom pistol is finally ready. It was built by one of my Soldier's fathers who does it as a hobby. The one he built for his son, won the Brownell's 1911 contest a year ago and that one shot like a dream.
This one is built on a Caspian frame with a flattop slide that is ribbed to match the front strap. I wanted something that looked classic at a glance, but would warrant a second look to truly appreciate the craftsmanship.
These are just the pics that he sent me; I still have to fly to Texas to transfer it in a few weeks in order to avoid MDs oppressive laws and the waiting period.
