Depending on what my 1916 Spanish Mauser looks like, we may have an addition to this thread.

    Nice Job

You asked for it. So here goes.

I thought it would be fun to post any and all Curio and Relic Bubba rifles here.

As we all know, some surplus firearms are total POS and are worth less than what you actually paid for them and they will never be anything other than a toss around beaters.

Many of us built Bubba's from just barreled actions and not complete rifles.

So don't be ascairt. Let's see those cobbled together Frankenrifles.

And remember, if God didn't want us to build Bubba guns, he wouldn't have given us JB-Weld and Camo in a can.

    Turkish Model 38.

8mm Mauser. 18-1/2 inch barrel. 39 inch OAL

Homemade muzzle brake. Slip fitted on to the barrel and secured with JB-Weld of course.

    Rustoleum rattle camo.

I sure hope you don't drop that rifle in the woods, you may not be able to find it again!! LOL I dropped a pair of camo mini binoculars groundhog hunting one time. Sure took me a long time to find them, but I did.

I can't begin to tell you how many camo gloves/hats/arrows I've lost in the woods and fields.

And a full camo muzzle loader I misplaced for several hours.

I've taken to using neon surveyor's flags to mark where I've been while tracking.

Post #1 8mm Turkish Mauser with her new scout scope and urban rattle camo paint job. Mobetta!

I can get it bead blasted or put in an acid bath to remove the nickle finish. Either way, it's not going to be cheap. However, once it is reblued I will regain more than I will invest in saving it.

Not really because a reblued gun is of far less value than an original. To serious collectors it's been Bubbafied.
Probably a trade off at best.

This was an all-matching Romanian SKS, in amazing condition. Bubba tossed the original mag and receiver cover so he could make it tacti-cool
