Crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge headed out of DE into NJ today around 9:30am the usual 4 lanes were reduced to 2 for construction on the span so it was bumper to bumper traffic.
I was in the far left lane with my window down and heard what sounded a lot like gunshots that I first chalked up to some construction sounds but they were sometimes slow and other times rapid.
Wouldn't you know I then look down from my elevated spot on the bridge to see about 6 men with black vests with "police" on their backs, firing at targets maybe 30 yards away!
I googled it and sure enough this is a dedicated police pistol range right underneath the bottom of the north span on the Delaware side!
It is for police only but I never would have noticed it if I wasn't going 2 mph with the windows down.
Just thought I'd share what I saw that I never knew was there... That is all.
