Tl;dr woman is raped, beaten and strangled by an assailant. She shoots him 3x with her brother’s .22 revolver while the assailant is choking out her brother. Judge made a finding that there is insufficient evidence of self-defense and the case will proceed to trial.

The only thing about this that doesn't make me sick to my stomach is the fact that the disgusting ******* is dead and the woman and her brother are alive. They (and many other areas) need new people in the justice system from top to bottom.

After reading that entire article, I’m sick to my stomach. Do we even live in a fair America anymore? This should be a simple acquittal yet this woman still faces life in prison? Deeply disturbing that we give individuals this much power in our society.

Having been through domestic violence with a previous relationship, all I can say is how disgusted I am to read this. Many times the police do not get involved in domestic violence until something drastic takes place. I consider myself lucky to still be alive. God only knows what could have happened.

I'm absolutely appalled at this judge's behavior. .

I’m glad that you survived. But as to your comment...
Not since it became required that reporting is to be submitted on ALL domestic assault cases.

Sadly... one of the most difficult parts of working on domestic violence cases... is the number of victims who refuse to appear and testify in court.

Judge and the DA. The DA doesn't appear to know the definition of rape. The judge just seems clueless.

All Trump has to do is say he thinks women should be held responsible in these domestic violence cases. She would be acquitted and given the Nobel Peace prize faster than you can say “There is no evidence Obama wiretapped Trump Tower”
