Does anyone know how to date Uberti handguns?

I've a Uberti model 1875 Army (not the current Army Outlaw), imported by EMF. Serial is 09xxx.

I saw elsewhere there should be a two letter code but I can't find anything on mine - just the crest, U and PSF.

You do not need the serial number to determine the year of manufacture. The proof mark has a date (year) code.
Do an internet search for Italian proof mark dates or date codes.
There are many websites with this information.
If you cannot find the marks, keep looking. They are not always obvious. You may need to remove the grips or look close to or even under the ejector tube.

Does removing the grips count as Second Base?

Whisper sweet nothings while showing off your bbq holster ?

But seriously , Hodgepodge has your link above , the date code is there on the gun someplace . It's Italian law, they're not going to leave it off .

Sister? More like great-grand daughter would be better for me.

Ok, the serious answer seems to be keep looking for a mark. I didn't take off the grips - that's about the only place I didn't check.

I'm getting up there. I'm now seeing 70 yo women (well, maybe one or two) and saying "I'd hit that!". :lol2:
