What would make an S&W 15-22 suddenly stop holding magazines?

I'm pretty new to doing any work at all on my firearms but I just swapped out the original barrel for a Volquartsen barrel primarily because the ejector on the factory barrel had broken off. The new barrel worked perfectly for the first magazine load but would not hold any magazines after that. They just fall right out.

    Any ideas?

Ejector on the barrel? The magazine fell out of the barrel? That’s not correct at all. No wonder your rifle doesn’t work. The magazine seats in the receiver and not in the barrel. The ejectors are on the bolt face, and not in the barrel.
