I searched to see if there was prior thread and didn't see anything. Have had a Weatherby rifle years ago, but their shotguns...I don't know.

I was looking for a decent used 1100 and can't find one for a good price (cheap). I did see a relatively new Weatherby 12 ga auto 28" synthetic furniture SA 08...I think. It looked nice and I think I could get it for $325.

Any body own or know anything about them? Would this be a good buy?
    Appreciated.

Honestly I want it mainly for casual clay birds and busting crows. I don't mind the plastic stock, would prefer would...but it's just going to be a messing around toy. Not a serious hunter or show piece.

thats pretty easy, just go with that one. If you were doing something more serious I would recommend something else. You wont even need 3" magnum for your purposes. However, if you want a good quality gun you could go for a used 1100 on gunbroker for around 400 or another overlooked to some extent would be a old Remington model 11, which is a Remington made Browning auto 5 and a sweet shotgun.
