It seems like it would be a good time to stock up on some ammo. I'm just wondering who you guys use that is reliable, not too expensive and doesn't kill you with shipping? I'm looking for both pistol and rifle ammo. Thanks for any good leads.

I really only use those three. Shipping is never "cheap" but it seems reasonable.

    +1 for SGAmmo

They sometimes get a little backed up when panic buying hits, but shipping is reasonable (and quick) and selection is always good.

I mostly watch deals and try to pick stuff up when there are free shipping promos that coincide with reasonable ammo prices. I use Midway, Sportsman's Guide, Freedom Munitions, Palmetto State Armory. Best to keep an eye out long before you plan to "need" ammo if you want the best prices overall.

Thanks for the info. I generally either buy locally or have used mid away in the past. When I use ammoseek, I usually am overwhelmed. at least now I have few good places to start looking.

I was in Duffys the other day and noticed the prices on ammo were very reasonable. He even had 325 count Federal .22 cal ammo for $20. Mini Mags for $10/100.

SGAmmo has good prices and fair shipping TargetSportsUSA runs free shipping on larger orders. And Cope's Distributing has $9.95 flat rate shipping, which is great if you're getting some of those surplus spam cans.

And yes, even WalMart is competitive on some calibers.

gunbot.net is an alternate to ammoseek. Never hurts to check prices.

Freedom Munitions has been my go to for the last 8-9 months. Get on their mailing list and each day you will receive an email with their specials for that day.
