Yes, you'll have fun with 300 BLK. It's the most recent caliber I've added to my reloading bench.

Any more I try to limit reloading to only calibers I shoot regularly. Problem is, I DO shoot these regularly. Because I reload I can shoot economically, have ammo on hand when it's scarce, and I can cast my own boolits for most of them.

    I s'pose if I could find a way to reload 22 rimfire I'd prob'ly try that too. :sad20:

Reloading is an evil addictive disease...but it's fun...:lol2:

I finally started reloading! I've successfully created about 90 rounds of 8mm Mauser so far and I want to start reloading 7.62x25 if I can ever find any pistol powder.

    Lets see...........

sold the 357 and 9mm didn't need them. Luger maybe someday

sold 7mm Rem Mag, didn't need

sold .375 Win Big Bore cool but not practical.

sold all 30-30's never really impressed

sold .223, OK but didn't like the accuracy of the Ranch Rifle

MANY more dumped along the way I'm sure

HAVE several 30-06, doubt I'll EVER need anything bigger

have 44 mag in both lever and revolver

    have 22's rifle and pistol

have 7.62X39 cheap ammo, need I say more?

Have 30-40 Krag and load for it.... maybe one of the best looking military rifles ever, ballistics are overlooked

Have 8mm Mauser, no collection can ever be complete without

I know there are a couple more haves and a LOT more dumped because like Henry David Thoreau said.... simplify! what other cartridge do I REALLY need with the exception of a 9mm Luger?

I have never reloaded shotgun. I could never make the numbers work, to make it worth doing.

Metallic, I see BIG savings. Shotgun, maybe 2 cents per round.

I enjoy loading for 300 BLK. It is a very well-rounded cartridge, everything from 110gr supers to 230gr subs are equally possible.

I find them easy to load as well with little issues.

Lately I've been casting lead bullets for them in different weights and then powder-coating them, GCs on the supers. Seem to work very well in the semi action.

Its my favorite caliber in a rifle.....my 300 pistol gets more range time than anything else.

You know how most have a pet peeve with clip used inappropriately for mag/magazine, well I wonder why people keep calling cartridges a caliber on here. Isn't caliber the diameter of the bullet used in the cartridge? Isn't .300 BLK a cartridge, as is .260 Rem, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .270 Win, and tons of others out there? They are cartridges, correct? Calibers are .17, .22, .25, .264, .270, .30, .338, etc. (and yes, I am sure I missed some in between and I left out all the metric ones).

    Rant over.

As far as new cartridges for the reloading bench and the spreadsheet, I say the more the merrier. Congrats Pinecone and the rest of you will those long lists.

Technically correct, but caliber has been used for a LONG time this way.

And it seems crazy to say a .308 Winchester cartridge rifle versus a .308 Winchester caliber rifle.

This obviously this doesn't bother me.

But what does is people calling bullets "heads." Or cartridges - "bullets." Or my all time favorite, "bullet heads."

wow... I feel like such a dilettante compared to some of you...

    45ACP
    9mm
    5.56/223
    .308

I have plans to expand to: .38/.357mag; 30-06; and then maybe 300WM or some longer range caliber if I ever acquire the caliber...

Well, I would just say how does a .300 Win Mag compare to a .30-06? No real need for cartridge or caliber for the reader to understand what the heck I am asking.

Never even heard of people calling bullets "heads", but I have had plenty of people refer to cartridges as "bullets". Pass me some more ammo would work better than pass me some more "bullets".
