I am finding a lot of info that is all over the map, both online and in my Lee manual, so I figured I would come to my friends here. Y'all got me started with this reloading thing a number of years ago, so I trust you more than anyone else.

Here's what I need. I need a .357 Magnum load that feels like a .357. I loaded some with some Bullseye powder and they felt like .38 Special. I picked up some H110 powder today and I have some CCI 550 small magnum primers. Using 158 gr CMJ RN Frontier bullets.

I just need some load data that is tried and true. These are going to be range/target loads in a S&W 586 w/ 6 in bbl.

Hodgdon Reloading Data Center on-line is the best.

It has anything and everything for what goes BOOM.

They had a load, but using a 158 gr XTP. With any other powder, I would go ahead and try it, but H110 is not too forgiving.

I keep seeing 16.0 to 16.7 gr, but some folks have used 18 and higher.

I might just load 5-10 cartridges at 16ish and see how they do.

I run 16.0 gr H110 behind 158 lead SWC. Its a good load to me, stout but doesn't cause any hard ejections in any of my guns. I stared to get hard ejections in my model 27 above 17 gr.

I have been loading 15gr of H110 with 158gr HTP. They are being fired through a rifle but they are very accurate. They made a can of corn explode and spray corn 20 yards. And that was at 50 yards.

Good powder. It is one of 3 favorite powders I use for heavy 44 Magnum loads. H110 was developed for the M1 Carbine round, essentially a 30 Magnum. Same case length, loading density, similar sectional density and ballistics as the 357, 41 and 44 Magnums.

My experience with H110 shows it to be a forgiving powder in heavy loads - makes sense it was designed for high load densities. I believe I had worked up to 16.2 - 16.5 grains behind 158 grain JHP before I stopped shooting 357 Magnum a great deal.
