    Have you met my wife?

She's a sweetheart, but may need convincing. Filled the last one in about a year. We won't talk capacity. :innocent0

Nice! I'd like to pick up an 1873.

In case you're currently shopping for one (and not cashed out due to Christmas purchases), check your PMs. First option is now gone, but virtually the same price second option is still available. Recently got an HK from these guys, and they were pretty fast.

Whatever you do, don't go visit this webpage ...

    http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/category.cfm/sportsman/henry-repeating-arms

You really don't want to see all they have listed there ... or for that matter, here either ...

Another Savage 99 in this thread ... so unfair.

Saw the other thread you just started with more pics. She's a beaut.

I have no idea re prices for the production year/period and caliber you mentioned, but chatting with a gun store owner about Savage 99s in general when they come through on consignment, he was talking similar numbers for the older ones if not higher (esp for limited run takedowns).

I am pretty happy with it. She shows honest wear and has a great bore.

Lots of people forget that the C$R works for non-military firearms too.

My two babies. Henry 44mag. and my 1968 Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Time to add a nic Savage to the collection.

Looks like I'll be picking up an older Winchester 92 in 32-20 in trade for my Rossi 92 and some cash. Now I'll have another matching set of single-action revolvers and rifle.

Love the .22s - both are models that I've been eyeing. Amazed that there are so many Savage 99 owners given that they're out of production, but it's this demand that's helping keep their values high.

(And of course that's a Winchester 94 above the Marlin in 30-30)

Yeah I realized I had the two backwards after I hit send. I inherited both .22's. The Savage was the first rifle I ever bought. Still love to shoot it. It's getting more expensive though.
