Damn , yall's thrown down the Gauntlet. As both an old school DA revolver shooter , and successful user of DA/SA bottom feeders , who's got one of these to go shoot , and make some friendly wagers about flyers ?

I am fairly well practiced on and cut my semi auto teeth on DA/SA. We all know that if you train for the DA, the transition, and also dry fire a lot you certainly can be proficient on DA/SA. I do very well wiht my Sigs

I was remarking on the XDE, which I where, for me, the DA trigger weight is a fair amount more than a sig DA/SA, and where the trigger reach is longer than a sig double stack as well.

I have no trouble believing there are guys who can do well with the XDE, I just think I won't. Adn I have seen several youtubes where that first shot is well off the mark flyer.

This was disappointed since on paper the XDE looks very good.

    Think Old School .
    A Chief Special , and a 2.5in M19 .
Personally, if you're considering a Glock 43, I'd suggest you look at the Glock 26. Much more firepower with just a little more bulk. When I looked at the 2, it was an easy choice for me. The Glock 26 hands down.

Total Rounds one can legally carry in DC with 20 round max and one spare mag max regulations:

    Chiefs special: 10 (5+5)
    *P938 oem 6/7: 14
    P938 oem both factory 7: 15
    P938 has no reliable 3rd party extension/extended
    *G43 OEM mags: 13 (6+1+1)
    *G43 +2 in spair: 15 (6+1+8)
    G43 + 2 in both: 17 (8+1+8)
    *Shield oem mags: 16 (7+1+8)
Shield both OEM factory large: 17 (8+1+8)
*Shield flush oem and +2 in larger spare: 18 (7+1+10)
    Shield +2 both: 20 (9+1+10)
    *Glock 26: 20 (10+1+9)

    *=grip length/printing unchanged

(I limited extensions to +2 as this seems to be max that people are finding extensions for g43 and shield that work with few to no failures with HP rounds)

me too. made g43 v shield choice easy. ill go with shield2.0 and save the $130 + sights, plus plus mag extensions on glock, toward a p365.

The mag/capacity on p365 is perfect optimization for DC laws as long as one remembers to leave on out of the spare mag. No different for home defense and much smaller package with same capacity compared to p320

    G43: L 6.26, H 4.25, width 1, weight 16.1 oz, cap 6+1
    Shield: L 6.1; H 4.6, width 1, Weight 20 oz, cap 7/8+1
    p365: L 5.8, H 4.3, W 1, Weight 18 oz, cap 10+1/+12+1
    p938 L 5.9, H 3.9, Wid 1.1, Wei 16 oz, cap 6/7+1
    p320 sc: L 6.7, H 4.7, W 1.1, wei 25 oz, cap 10/12/more +1
