I think we should be given the mile..... first.

Also,... I don't want it taxed. If you think they'll use the revenue for actual GOOD, you are definitely mistaken.

There's probably a comfortable homestead available in N. Korea for a lot of Members here that think that an otherwise free Man needs to be controlled at every turn.

    Boggles the mind.

Click on the link to this post to see the attachment enumerating the restrictions on the use of cannabis while driving, performing surgery, or even sitting in a parked car, as I read it.

What they are doing is illegal. They are in violation of the terms of their "medical" cannabis cards.

Certainly in violation of number 4, and likely violating one, two, and three as well.

These guys are breaking the law, and they are subject to arrest. Number one on this list looks like it's illegal to even sit in the driver's seat of a parked vehicle while under the influence. That's how I read it, anyway.
They are required to sign this legal document when they buy their "medical" weed:

No drama in that statement. Do you think people shouldn't express their opinion? Do you think your opinion/viewpoint is the only one that counts? If not, then that statement was uncalled for.

So there still needs to be a law.

Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

    Law against exactly what?

Regarding what can be used, how it can be used and where.

Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

    I see.

Or,..... the Government could maybe simply mind their own business.... or spend time worrying about things that people actually care about?

SURE, but people will do what when they want unless there is some consquence heavy enough to prevent them from doing so. Not everyone is considerate of other people.

    It's called Liberty.

Same with alcohol, there should only be "medical" alcohol.

I mean,....how can we be assured people aren't going to consume alcohol for solely recreational purposes and then harm others or their property???

And your liberty ends when you threaten someone else's liberty. That is why we have DUI an DWI laws.

So then it sounds like we agree, as the mere ACT of the consumption of a drug does not meet that standard.

Well if you had been paying attention I have no problem with the recreational use of MJ. Provided certain conditions appy.

I was paying attention, I just don't understand the need for "conditions" beyond the laws that are already on the books.

Some folks seem to love new and additional laws, me,... I tend to think there are plenty as is.

Well we would have to change the current law wouldn't we? I want it taxed. If it is smoked I don't to be exposed to it. I want the level of THC controlled. Just because you don't understand the need does necessarily mean there is no need for them. Give people an inch they will take a mile.

You are correct because I don't think people should be given that mile.

Report the post then I guess.

I was attempting to give an example of where one might prefer to reside if they agree with and like an overpowering Government.

No I'm not like that. But one could take it as a barb. Would you like someone to elude that you are like Kim Jong Un? We can at least be civil.

Does this have anything to do with business prosecution on the Fed level?

"Since 2014, members of Congress have passed annual spending bills that have included a provision protecting those who engage in the state-sanctioned use and dispensing of medical cannabis from undue prosecution by the Department of Justice."

A thought crossed my mind this afternoon as I was driving past the pot shop in Edgewater. Can the owner of such a shop get a CCW License?

The carry permit is issued by the State, which is nullifying the federal law. So the permit shouldn't be a problem.

But can he buy a gun to carry?

If the shop owner isn't a user, then I think he's okay on the 4473 to buy a gun. Too lazy to look back at the actual wording of the law. Not sure if the NICS check would get him.
