The SoMD forum has been a wealth of local information, so I lean on y’all again.

I have nine or so trees in Saint Leonard that I want dropped. One of those I want removed from my property completely. I’ll take care of the stumps and the majority of the trunk, but I’m currently looking primarily for a service to drop and de-limb these suckers.

Who do you all have experience with and recommend? Or if any of you want a stab at one or all for firewood, come on over and make it disappear. I don’t know what they are, but they’re not pine trees. Diameters at 5’ up are 24” at most. Nothing huge.

    Very timely thread.

    I've got a maple tree that we didn't plant. It's a strange-looking tree.
    Three trunks.

It's a magnificent shade tree, but, it's right against a fence that we're replacing in a couple of weeks.

My wife talked to a guy this past Friday, and when she showed me the price quote, I almost dropped my teeth. (All mine. No dentures!)

$1,000.00 to cut tree and haul away the wood.

$1.250.00 to cut tree, haul away wood, and grind stump.

    This is Waldorf.

I simply cannot get over that price.
    NO WAY!!!!!!

    John,

Just want(ed) to say openly, that the guy you suggested/recommended came by and gave me a good price.

He and his crew showed up today, about 7:15 a.m., and within 2 hours had that Silver Maple down, cut-up and were gone!!!!

    THANK YOU for the recommendation.

Granted..... while he was not the 'cheapest' quote, his demeanor/attitude/personality and simply the way he presented himself, got him the job.

    Thanks again!!!!

Everyone always says Kelly’s tree service in the post I see on Facebook no personal experience though, they are located in the Huntingtown/Dunkirk area

If this is the same Kelly that owns the nursery in Dunkirk I would avoid him. I have a few friends that have been unhappy with their dealing with him.
