If I'm not mistaken, and my eyesight's not failing me, it looks like the S/N on that .223 caliber rifle is 556. Interesting.

I believe it was 558. Someone snatched it up on Saturday.

Very rare and incredibly scarce 1918 Enfield, according to the seller, survived being pulled through a transdimensional portal from where Germany conquered the UK (Now called the Island Province of the Third Reich) and forced the Brits to start churning out more Enfields.
Now you must understand that this rifle was cut down in varying ways after being acquired by the resistance.
Missing magazine, sporterised stock, sights seized up. safety is trashed.
Barrel needs a patch run through it.
Mismatched bolt and rifle.
Transdimensional travel is very harsh on wood and steel.

But the wood looks refinished.
