I am setting up my reloading/ gunsmith room. I want to display some of my rifles. What has everyone found to work and look best for hanging them that goes with the C&R rifles.

While researching my Nambu on anther site I came across a picture someone had taken of their quite extensive Arisaka collection. The entire wall was covered with pegboard, painted white with a gigantic Rising Sun painted on it. That looked fantastic!

Gunshops have that slotted wood stuff.
I have a few padded J hooks for the Muzzle loaders
I've seen gunshops with pegboard but never looked at what they did to pad the hooks. Don't want what ever the hooks are to affect the finish on the rifles.
I'm sure the type of wood used would matter.

Cordless Drill Hangers are covered in Foam. $3-4 each at Lowes and Amazon.

Keep a eye out for store closings. When the local Rite aid closed they sold off everything a few months after closing. They usually have peg board or slatwall and hooks cheap. Good luck and post pictures.
