I've had a Colt/Walther/Umarex 1911-22 since September. Fired probably 500rounds through it so far; mostly Remington Thunderbolt. Despite the ammo's bad reputation (yes, it fouls the bore something awful), I don't remember a single FTF or FTE. I'm impressed.

As others have pointed out, a lot of parts are interchangeable with those of a .45. I swapped out the mainspring housing for an arched one; only difference was the mainspring retaining pin.

Which brings me to the question of sights. I'd like to replace the existing plain sights with a set of white-dot sights; the On Target range where I usually shoot is pretty dark. Does anyone know whether aftermarket M1911 sights would fit into the pistol's dovetails without gunsmithing?
