Often people are curious as to how they match up to others. The Orion system now makes it possible to actually see the groups that people are actually shooting in various competitions as well as the scores.

So if you would like to see what other people are doing here is how.

The Orion (an electronic scoring system) Result Center posts the results of various matches arranged by discipline, Here is the Link:
    http://www.orionresults.com/team/Home.aspx

Not all results show the individual shot groupings but some do, for example:
    http://www.orionresults.com/team/TournamentPage.aspx?MatchID=1.2919.823822221.2

Then click on an individuals name:
    http://www.orionresults.com/team/IndividualScore.aspx?MatchID=1.2919.822887523.1&UniqueID=28

Many of the results are from junior shooting programs and many of the groupings are for air rifles but as the use of the Orion system is growing so are more results being posted.

Here is the homepage of the Orion system:

Very cool site, but if you'e not shoulder to shoulder with the competitor, "comparison" isn't quite the right word. Match pressure is but one possible reason. I have seen a dozen people who shoot very well informally just fall apart at a real match.

Yeah, it's a great idea, but there are so many different variables that affect your shooting, it's really not an accurate comparison.

Every day of the week...... the timer goes off and your brain turns off until you get some match experience under your belt.

Actually in speed shooting your brain is supposed to be off when the buzzer sounds. Thinking slows you down. Probably why accuracy shooters tend to be slow when they try to pick up this discipline.

True there is no competition pressure but if you can't shoot better than they do without pressure then, unless you are a rare individual that preforms best under pressure, you should probably keep practicing.
