Hogan won't win second term, and it has nothing to do with Hogan himself.

He has an R by his name.

Maryland will vote D just to send a message to the country and the White House.

I truly loved and appreciated Obama as President, not because he is black, or because I agreed with him on most issues, but simply because I feel as though he truly cares about this country and he did a great job getting us out one of the greatest recessions of all time.

But guess what, I voted for Hogan. Hogan, also like Obama, strikes me as a man who truly cares for Maryland and Marylanders. When all the ridiculous and unnecessary unrest started in Baltimore -- Hogan was here, in Baltimore City! And do you wanna know what he was doing?? How about on the front f-ing line talking to the impoverished blacks of Baltimore City asking them how can we come together to provide opportunities to make things better here in Baltimore. By time our great (he's no lesser) governor was rapping up, the impoverished blacks of the city were calling him, "Gov."

I was freaking touched by this in a tremendous way. It bought tears to my eyes. Growing up in DC, all I know is diversity. Baltimore is a different world in that aspect. The race and socioeconomic divide here is #REAL. I have great respect for Governor Hogan and as long as I can vote for him -- I WILL. I don't care who decides to run against him. That man has Maryland's best interest at heart.

On another note, I believe Gov. Hogan will try to go up against Maryland's nonsense gun laws during his next term. Also, I am NOT a black lives matter supporter. It's a inconsistent notion and ridiculous sentiment that removes responsibility, consequences, and accountability from MOSTLY criminals. Sure there are some instances of racial profiling and policing of the innocent that perpetuates bigger problems, and this should never be tolerated. But I am an armed forces and Law enforcement supporter.

Clearly you saw something in President Obama that eluded a lot of us. I saw a shallow, self-centered man who squandered an opportunity to achieve great things. His election could have been a leap forward in race relations, but his inclinations and skills were those of a community organizer who needs an enemy. He left this country worse off in virtually every respect than he found it. History will not be kind to him or to the insane party he left in his wake.

I gotta tell ya, that guy appears to be one of my biggest fears. A radical socialist.

    Need I say more?

This guy will not win Maryland...I think people are vastily overestimating that race plays into the factor of someone getting elected...Hogan has a 73% approval rating up from 65% this time last year, Marylanders have watched places like Baltimore be destroyed due to people like Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and others. If race plays a factor into the election you have to remember that Hogan is married to Yumi Hogan and has Boyd Rutherford as his Lieutenant governor. Bob Ehrlich only had an approval rating of about 55% so it's tough to compare him and Hogan. Prediction is, Hogan wins in 2018 and Ben Jealous doesn't get out of the primaries cause he is running up against a field of candidates.

Let's talk about Hogan for a minute...

He is at best a "Place Holder"...

All we can hope he can do is to keep the State from falling further into Communism & Socialism...

Realistically the voters of this State fully support the views & plans of Mike & Mike = Communism & Socialism = 65% of them voted for Clinton...

Hogan won ONLY because he ran against Anthony Brown (and O'Malley's legacy)...

So I'm guessing that the Dems will win the next Gubernatorial election by 60++ % no matter who they run...

All the next candidate has to do is look good, be able to walk & chew gum at the same time & to LIE like a rug on the floor and MOST IMPORTANT is NOT a Republican...

    Thanks Governor Hogan, nice try..!

No offense meant, if you like 2A you have to protect 1A. I believe D's know Hogan may try 2A improvement if given a second term. Worried for MD.

So, you'll be voting for the Democrat candidate then?

Makes sense. Didn't get what you wanted, so make sure you won't get it next time. :sad20:

    Yeah, you'll show him.

I'm a Conservative and a Republican. Hogan has made it clear he is neither. I gave him a chance, now the animals can have at the scraps.

He can take his 2A doublespeak, illegal drug coddling, fake environmentalism and kiss my ass.

What was Hogan's alternative to Trump?

Hogan can stand in his record. His political music sounds better to the fence riders, but to people like me, he is no different than a Democrat.

Ill leave the Governor blank when I vote next time. Governor Hogan hasn't earned my follow up vote in words or action.

I have him a shot with my vote once.

Worse.. It is a binary choice. The other than Hogan would be a travesty most likely, for people that work and pay taxes.

Anwil6 while I personally do not agree with your assessment of our previous president, (I'm in general agreement with your other comments), I DO appreciate your contribution in supporting our 2nd Amendment. I believe we can respectfully disagree from our own unique perspectives, but agree that we are masters of our own futures. Each of us may take a different path to that future but we should all have the best interest of our society in our thoughts and actions. We will not always agree, but we should be civil enough to explain our position in respectful conversation. For that I applaud your comments. Looking forward to your future contributions.
