Hi all! I just purchased a Springfield MC Operator Loaded and I've seen lots of negative reviews for the GI mags that come with it. My question is: to use the Wilson mags, is there a need modify the stock magwell? This is my first semi-auto pistol other than a Raven MP-25 (if that can even be considered a gun!), so I'm a newb when it comes to 1911s.

There should be no issue with using any brand magazine with that SA. It is a full sized gun, so any 1911 mag meant for a Government Model 1911 or equivalent should work.

One thing i will say is that one of the resident gunsmiths on the forum, Chad, has noted that Wilson Combat has started making their mags a little cheaper than in the past. He now recommends the Tripp or Mec_gar mags.
