    What are your favorite 300 Blackout loads? Wanting to set up my AR for 300 B.O. Looking for input.

    Thanks,

    I have two, both super sonic. One is a NOE 150gn LSP G/C Powder Coated over 17.5 gns of 4227. Another is Sierra 150gn SP over 16.5gn of H-110. Both loads give me 2 inch groups at 100 yards from the bench and both eject reliably. This is from a 18 inch, mid gas, 1 in 8 barrel.

    COAL is critical on these especially for lead 150gn bullets. If the bullet ogive is too fat, it will get stuck in the tight chamber neck.

    Sub load;
    220gr ELD-X
    10.6gr A-1680
    CCI #41

    Super load;
    110gr V-MAX
    19.7gr Lil'Gun
    CCI #400

    These are both super accurate out of my SBR.

    Develop loads that work the best in YOUR rifle.

    The barrel will tell you what it likes and what it doesn't.

    Hodgdon Reloading Data Center, on-line, can't be beat.

    Using a pistol config w/10.5 barrel.

    Sub for Home Defense 220g Eld-X w/10.4g IMR4227.

    Just for fun plinking sub loads
    208g Epoxy Coated Palmetto Projectiles w/10.0g IMR4227. These will not cycle reliably without suppressor.

    Though I refer to this a lot, it is woefully lacking in more modern projectiles. They really need to update it as well as Sierras book. A good place to start though.

    I prefer Hornady's book over the aforementioned.

    This is the info I had been looking for. I have had good luck with 308 150gr soft point and 10gr trailboss in my bolt 308win gun running subsonic.

    Its really interesting your getting close to what I got on 308 with same projectile and half the powder. just goes to show how its not just the powder amount but other things.

    Any reloader manuals have a 300blk & trailboss documented?

    I have not found any reload data for trail boss and subs out of the blackout. I did a bunch of research on blackout sub loads and came across trail boss in a few post and decided to try it out. It's incredibly consistent and my extreme spreads are less than %2. I had a mold modified to fit my requirements and can easily print moa groups at 100 if I do my part.

    If your looking for 110gr round bump it to the Lehigh 115gr, $32 plus shipping for 100. Everything I have shot with this round has died within 50ft, and most drop where they were shot.
