    Millet DMS-1 ( Best value)
    1-4 magnification
    30mm tube
    Illuminated reticle, dot
Crappy Lens covers and tacky gold letterings.
    Good glass
    About $200.00

PEPR, Armalite or similar scope mount with built in rings
    $60.00

Hitting empty beer cans at 300 yards...Priceless

( With proper training, the DMS-1 can be used similar to Trijicons BINDON aiming concept for CQB/ Short range shooting and its variable power to compensate for longer shots. It will handle the recoil of .22LR- 308 Win. Just dont use it for anything that kicks harder than a 308.) You should be able to purchase a complete set-up, mounts included for < 300.00 bucks)

+1 on the Millett DMS-1. I had one for a while, and for the money, they're a pretty good value for a .223 rifle. Not terribly durable, and gets a little darker at 4X, but for <$250, you can't beat it.

Have a Nikon Monarch 10-22X44 on My Fclass rig, I shoot it from 100 to 1000 yards and everything inbetween I like it a lot think I got it for around $350. If your getting any kind of decent glass don't skimp on the rings.
