Ah the fixed stock and 16" barrel combo, takes me back to the 94-04 ban and Wilson Combats carbines.

So here's the "Doo Doo Brown" build today. Over the past few weeks I've added an FDE Battle Arms Development selector, an FDE Tactical Link Battery Assist Lever, a Battleline Industries SAPR, the Vortex Optics Viper PST 1-4x24 in mounts from Seekins Precision, and replaced the previous muzzle device with a BattleComp 1.0.

my godfather has a post ban bushmaster, 16" hbar (non threaded) carbine length and a2 stock...gotta say, its a very soft shooter.

Did a little painting.. Trying to decide if I like it, since it came out a little light. I'm definitely going to remove the Color fill on the mag well (maybe FDE in the spider) and possibly add FDE rail covers. Maybe even an Aimpoint cover

The price was $2299.99 post-Newtown. Came out closer to $2400 after shipping, insurance and FFL fees. I off-set the cost a significant amount by trading in another gun for it.
