Is there any money in shooting matchs. If so what level would you have to be at and what division. The only division I know anything about(very little) is IDPA

Lol making money doing something you love is a pipe dream. At least for me

Were can I find a 3 gun match in Maryland. I live in Westminster

Looks to me like you are trying to make money off shooting. Chasing the type of competition in hopes of making a buck off it...

Remember this, being #1 isn't easy or cheap. If it was, everyone would be number one like in slow pitch baseball.

If you want to get a return on your investment of time (practice, travel, matches) and money (guns, gear, training, travel), go after 3-gun.

That is where the biggest prize tables are.

However, if you're just starting out (which you must if you are asking), you've got a long and difficult road to hoe.

one of the top 3gun shooters in the world shoots with us at york and has a deal with team FN, which is like the NY yankees of the shooting sports.

they give him a nice deal, lots of guns and practice ammo...and he wins all the time, so he constantly gets cash, guns and gear off the prize table. but he still works FT as a police officer and the Fn sponsorhsip and winnings about cover his shooting costs, which are huge with the amount of practice he must do to stay competetive.

My good friends Ron and Megan Fransisco and JJ Racaza are some of the best in the country but can't quit their day jobs.

Sent from my phone from somewhere in the world.

The same for Max. He and Travis host classes, and Max works for SIG, but it isn't like he is getting anything close to other professional athletes.

You mean Greg. I have squaded with him several times this year in non 3-gun events. We hit it off pretty well considering I am at least twice his age. I will be shooting my first 3-gun match this weekend.

Thx :) will do. From what I hear the 3rd stage your better off shooting slow and getting hits cause its at 20yards. Any tips would be helpful

Don't think "slow". The word "slow" is counter productive. So is the word "fast".

    Be controlled.
