Is Mr Smigiel a member here . He was a political figure at one time is that correct ?

He was THE political Second Amendment figure at one time.

Highly respected. Highly revered. Much quoted. "The Liberty Tree Is Parched."

Now that he's dared to say something unflattering about a Maryland Republican Governor who hates guns and gun owners, Mr. Smigiel is labeled a subversive commie Jealous lover who's single handedly trying to hand Maryland over to the Democrats.

Hogan is pretty bad if the only argument left to vote for him is the absurd and false claim that a vote for the only candidate that believes in the Constitution and freedom is a vote for the Socialist.

I disagree, but that is your take on it. Hogan has plenty to offer, and in the longer run, the better option IMHO. But even so, it is a valid argument. The state is a bastion of Democratic Voters, many of which will vote Democrat because their family and friends do. Many don't even think about the issues. Voting for some obscure candidate that has no realistic chance of winning simply is putting a lot of things at severe risks.

Mike Smigiel is a patriot, loves his country and his state and is one of the staunchest defenders of the 2A I've ever met. But I disagree with the premise of his FB post.

He is also a complete hoot when he represents applicants before the HPRB.

I do remember his quote from one event , I surely did not agree with the complete statement . Yes I would say I don't agree with this message as well . Maybe he is trying to get people pissed off enough to do something about it . (not sure) I do admire his right to say it and not agree as well

He must be a lawyer if he is representing folks at the HPRB . I will have to listen out for him if he does open hearings .

Yes Stoveman I wonder if this is how he feels or if there is something more to this ?

    Oh boy, another Hogan thread.

I'm sure this one will settle the issue.

    :lol2:

I have found lots of "Hard Heads" here at MDS and as well as other forums including me being the head hard head :innocent0 , These post will change very little except the level of anger or angst .

But beating dead horses are a great past-time on forums .IMHO

Yet another worthless Hogan/Jealous opinion thread. The same people will say the same stuff ad nauseam. The only thing I’ll say is don’t sit at home and not vote.
    Vote or shut up.

Main reason I'm bitching, because I'll be voting.

**If and when everyone gets tired of bitching and making threads about him, maybe then the Hogan train-wreck can finally end. Not likely, but I can dream.

Something many here do not have..

This right here is the shit that pisses me off.

Those who are all high and mighty, tossing in their own version of virtue signaling, explicitly and implicitly saying that those of use who have made a hard choice about supporting Hogan have no principles.

    Well, screw that.

You are welcome to use your vote however you want, including not using it. That is your right. But when you tell me that I have no principles simply because you disagree with my vote, then you cross a line.

Obviously, the liberals do not have a lock on ignoring objective reality when it comes to acting on the emotions that their butthurt generates.

Will Maryland be better under Jealous than Hogan? There aren’t any other candidates at this point that will get more than 2% of the vote. If all of MD Shooters voted for a third candidate I’d doubt they’d get 10% of the vote in this state. If we had the numbers to elect a third candidate then I don’t think we’d have the crap we currently have in the general assembly.

It’s a sad truth but we’ve had third party presidential candidates that at best only helped elect one of their opponents by taking votes from the other candidate.

So unless you can find a candidate that both democrats and republicans can get behind in numbers to defeat the other 2 the most one can hope to gain voting not Hogan is to hand the election to Jealous.

We each have one vote assuming we live in MD and are registered and we have the right to cast it any way we see fit. But you’re smoking crack if you think anyone other than the democrat or republican candidate will win the election for governor this year.

I’ve often voted for libertarian candidates because that is closer to representing my views than dem or republican. But it hasn’t elected a single one yet.

The time to replace Hogan has passed because that was during the primaries.

I want to be honest my sarcastic side wants to vote for my Dad as Hogan did , but it will only hurt me in the long run . Hogan is a smelly politician but that Jell-O guy is absolutely horrid and will make me poorer . No way I will cut my nose to spite my face , not that my face is all that and a bag of chips .

Sorta like a prison visit rather be bunked up with Pee_wee Herman , then Johnny Wad Holmes ...:innocent0:lol2::rolleyes:
