Yes Rehoboth is running in the 1 million to 3 million for waterfront range right now. I would stay away from waterfront anyway because anytime a hurricane or himmacane to be PC waterfront really takes a beating and flooding as well. Im looking around Rt 1 area on the western side of Rt 1 or their is a retirement community right behind the Giant in Rehoboth. Take a look at this web page it might give you a hand about retirement communities in Sussex ::::::http://deretiree.com/:::: https://www.retirenet.com/delaware/fenwick-island/communities/active-retirement-communities-and-homes

Thanks for the links. We are really only looking for waterfront. Basically not considering anything else. Looking in DE but also considering Florida or staying here on the shore in MD.

<1/2 hour past the Chincoteague exit, but going bayside.

My wife and I were blown away by how reasonable prices were. Not a good place to make a living, but if retired...
Good point. I've peaked down there before it if memory serves there's not much around there? I don't remember much in the way of restaurants or retail. Guess Salisbury or VA beach closest retail of any size? I also see that property taxes look to be about the same as here, maybe even a touch higher. They do offer a lot of waterfront house for the money, I can't argue with that.

Decent amount of mom and pop restaurants. There are supermarkets and a Super Walmart. It is definitely a slower paced area that doesn't have the amenities of an area with, say, >50k people year round.

Don't forget about the mosquitoes and green headed flies. They love the VA coastal area.

Don't you also need like five residents of the county to write up some sort of questionnaire saying you are a fine and wonderful person or something like that?

Seems to me that was designed to prevent newcomers to Delaware from obtaining permits.

DE is definitely on my list of retirement destinations so I'm keeping an eye on any CCW changes
Yeah, that’s pretty much the only thing stopping me. I don’t know anyone, I keep to myself, and I don’t like to discuss firearms in general conversation.
    *shrug*
Will likely end up talking to an attorney who can help me with the process.

But from what I can see and or read their is no way around that part to get your permit but you have to admit getting a ccw in DE is a lot easier then MD even if you do have to pay $75 to put your name in the local paper saying you are applying for permit.Link to the paper I would be using if things do the way I would like them to go:::::https://www.capegazette.com/
