    I just happened to stumble across this pic. Poor guy took is new barrel and muzzle break to a family friend to have it "pin welded".

    Ouch. Now he's minus $300 and probably one friend.

    Other than spray painting the bead to match, what's there to fix? I mean, it's on there, right? :shrug:

    Would you let someone do that to your gun? That is what is wrong with it.

    It cant be said as definitive since its not in front of me, but that hack job took a good bit of heat to perform. I would need to run a scope in the BS Gauge & M.E. Gauge to see if there was distortion from the heat. Im also guessing that the device was likely over-torqued since the work is a hack job.

    Its a shit sandwich and the guy will have to pay several hundred to fix it.

    In addition to possible distortion, wouldn't that also affect the temper of the barrel? :shrug:
