One of the forums I visit, you can insert the address of the video into a drop down menu. Certainly much easier method of posting videos.

Embedding YT videos is incredibly easy.
1.) Find video
2.) Copy everything after the =
3.) Enter in place of XXXXX: ""
I don't have sympathy for people who claim to be tech illiterate. It's laziness, pure and simple.
Why should I have to type the yt /yt, when I can just enter the URL. My mom would say "KISS"
Probably would cost $$$ to change the MDS softwareWhy should I have to type the yt /yt, when I can just enter the URL. My mom would say "KISS"
I'd argue it's pretty simple as is.

Delete the space between yt and ] below
[yt ]EwtQZwFOdlk[/yt]

I have the part of the URL highlighted and then click on one of the controls such as bold. Then I replace the start B and end B inside the [ ] with yt.
I probably just confused everyone.
Well likely that forum has updated software. This one does not. We run VB3 and it's old. However nice for folks used to it. I will see if there is a nice plugin to do this.

I'm certainly not lazy, I definitely don't want sympathy and I don't need criticism while trying to learn something I've never done before. I appreciate someone who sincerely tries to help another member learn something new, at least to them. Yes, it's easy when you have done it before but not so easy when you have never done it but need a little coaching.
Criticism is not for members who want to learn.
VB3 is the name and version of the software that the forum runs on.
