Embedding YT videos is incredibly easy.

    1.) Find video
2.) Copy everything after the =
    3.) Type yt in brackets
    4.) Paste
    5.) Type /yt in brackets

I don't have sympathy for people who claim to be tech illiterate. It's laziness, pure and simple.

Why should I have to type the yt /yt, when I can just enter the URL. My mom would say "KISS"

The one advantage of the M4Carbine plugin is you can use the same window to embed Hulu, Facebook, Vimeo, etc. The yt method only works for youtube and ll for liveleak.

Well likely that forum has updated software. This one does not. We run VB3 and it's old. However nice for folks used to it. I will see if there is a nice plugin to do this.

Just don't disable the 'manual' method, otherwise existing links to YouTube stop working and us tech neanderthals who like 'fat fingering' our entries will complain.

I like my iphones 'cuz I'm "tech illiterate". :innocent0

I do it a different way though. I copy the site, paste it, delete everythang but the gibberish, then make with the brackets. I don't like change.

I'm certainly not lazy, I definitely don't want sympathy and I don't need criticism while trying to learn something I've never done before. I appreciate someone who sincerely tries to help another member learn something new, at least to them. Yes, it's easy when you have done it before but not so easy when you have never done it but need a little coaching.

Criticism is not for members who want to learn.

BINGO, well said! Some of us are older than the standard computer geek of nowadays therefore we may not know shit. We DID however play outside after school. My flip phone works fine as long as no one tries to text me. ;)

Is VB3 third generation gleep that antibiotics cannot cure?
