Big match this weekend is the PSA Shootout. 6 or 7 stages of 25-35 steel knockdown targets. Unfortunately being a big match it fills up well before the time ($$$ awards) so no walk-ons allowed. Some of the pros shoot this match, but generally on an early day (runs from Thursday to Sunday) so they can be in some other part of the country for another match.

I am shooting both AM (Open Revolver) and PM (Open Auto) on Sunday.

if you're not doing anything saturday 27th, cmon out and shoot the uspsa-style falling steel match at peacemaker (super steel). it really is a good newbie match and a lot of fun. just need pretty much any centerfire handgun, holster and 3+ mags though more is better and at least 200 rounds but again more is better. you can come early and watch the morning match and shoot the afternoon match. i'm in squad 8 in the afternoon and am happy to show anyone the ropes. if you have a pistol caliber carbine, that is allowed also. there is room in the morning match also but my squad is full.
