Decided to try my hand at doing some 308 subsonic. I'm using 180gr Sierra spitzer flat bottom. Loading that over 10.0-10.8gr of trail boss. No FCD used. I only chrono graphed 1 round for each. Groups at 35 yard really did not move much and tested those without the suppressor first. I did have 5 rounds of 10gr loads I made extra and took it to 50 yards and they shot pretty decent. I will make 20-30 more of the 10gr and try again. BTW they were wicket quiet. Target is at 50yds

Glad I stumbled upon this. I'm actually looking at getting into loading subs in 308. Just trying to figure out which powder/primer combo most people are using with good success.

Trail boss powder seems to be a popular choice. Which primers are you using? I see some people use magnums and some use standards.

I'll more than likely be using 150gr FMJ bullets. Nothing fancy as this will just be a suppressed 100 yard plinker while using subs.
