    I'm using the Springfield Armory Gen 4 mount with good results. (I followed their mounting directions to the letter.)

    I took a different route for the cheek weld issue. I bought a M14 stock from CMP and a cheek riser from Desert Warrior Products upon Clandestines advice.

    The stock must be drilled through, hence the M14 surplus stock. The cheek weld is rock solid and way more repeatable than strapping a bag to your stock. Loosen the giant screws to drop the cheek riser down and you can view your iron sights through the Gen 4 mount.
