As a Tax Paying, and Law Abiding Citizen of Maryland. I do not support any new laws that would ban and restrict Law Abiding Citizens of Maryland access to so called "Assault Style Rifles" and their magazine capacity.
I do support stronger enforcement of the existing Gun Laws that are on the books, Mandatory background checks for all fire arm purchase. closing back ground check loop holes used at gun shows, access to mental health records as part of back ground checks for purchasing a fire arm.
The demonizing of modern semi-automatic sporting rifles is, at best, an emotional and ill thought out response to recent tragedies, and a direct, politically motivated attack on the rights of the citizens of Maryland.
