Urbanization will never cease, more people per sq/mi , more conflict, more regulation. One party rule in all of Urban America and they've already made it known they will not abide by federal law (ICE detainees/Sanctuary Cities).

Give it 5 years and you will see this in San Francisco/NYC/Chicago etc

possibly another reason to stay out of cities. Only issue I would see is the Liberals would have conundrum on their hands because those you see walking will automatically be caste as the "troublemakers" and that is against their credo especially if they are minorities.

And the thing that will allow it to spread like light speed here will be the intense utilization of public transport and ride sharing. Uber and Lyft are just the beginning. Once you no longer have a personal vehicle and have to depend on someone else, and also pay for it electronically, you can bet the statists are going to want to control that heavily.

    They're the masters of compartmentalization.

Like that one episode of "The Orville" where if you get too many dislikes you go for "re-education."

There are some interesting parallels in the film, In Time.
