I used to trust "The Week'' magazine as one of the few reliable sources of information in the mainstream media since each article attempts to offer a balance of liberal and conservative views without the editorial bias of most publications. The issue I just received today has an article about the history of the National Rifle Association mentioned on the cover along with a button showing the letters 'NRA' and the silhouette of a blue eagle holding a cogwheel and lightning bolts in its talons. Unfortunately, that is the symbol for the National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933, a New Deal era program to regulate industry and control wages, and has absolutely nothing to do with the National Rifle Association. It makes me wonder how well researched the rest of the article really is.
