    1891 bubba'd . I shot the box a bullets that came with it. Fun to shoot with little recoil.

    There were a whole lot of those that were sporterized--probably while they were still in Argentina, to be used as hunting rifles. That's sad, because one of those is pretty high on my "want list" when the right one comes by at the right time.

    If you want it shoot me a number. I wont give it away but some ammo or 22 rifle trade is what i'm looking for.

    Saw this G43 at the Oaks show today. I couldn't tell if it was bubbafied or missing parts but it had obviously been refinished. The Johnson rifle behind it also had a scope and other things indicating a bubba.

    That Johnson is a Winfield Sporter model. "Commercial Bubbification" by Winfield, it was pretty popular back in the day. It looks very nice (see post #30 here for the one I rebuilt).
