I really don't understand why Glock doesn't make a small carbine. I can't imagine them losing money on it.

I actually prefer the undercut on the 19-sized frames, haven't handled a 42/43, so I couldn't say if it'd be a pro/con.

There's something off with that picture. It doesn't look like something Glock would release. I'm calling it a fake. Maybe the actual pistol isn't fake, but that picture is fake.

Completely an internet spoof, there is not and will not be a 43x. The 19x is being mercilessly ridiculed by Glock haters, gun with a mullet, etc.
Tay Tay is a very common nickname for Taylor Swift. If you don’t like that, I’ll guess you’ll have to...wait for it...shake it offf, shake it off!

Even though that's a horribly photo-shopped fake, I wouldn't put it past Glock to have something similar on the drawing board.
Anyone remember the Walther P-38k? Of course you don't. It was a bobbed version of the standard P-38 that went over like a lead balloon with law enforcement and shooting enthusiasts. It's now one of the most collectible Walther pistols out there because so few were made.
I've also taken the slide off my CZ-75 PCR and stuck it on my full-size CZ 75 to make a CZ-75 'Compact' and it works just fine. Same concept: bobbed version of the full-size/standard pistol.
