Actually, it's easier to get a carry permit in NY (outside NYC) than Maryland. I have several relaives in Rochester with permits.

Of course, the bulk of the other laws are easily as nasty as MD, some are much worse.

    Monroe is good!

Let's see, the two cities in the country that are basically run by the mob. New York and Chicago. The two cities in the country where the law-abiding are virtually completely denied their right to own a handgun for self-defense. New York and Chicago.

Democratic run cities are the ideal utopia, don't ya know?

Yes, if not for NYC, I understand NY isn't as bad.

I lived in New York (upstate) for four years back in the 80s. Am I to be retroactively traumatized?

Get outside of The City and you'll find a lot of folks who resent that the entire State is beholden to that festering shlthole in the bottom-right corner. Unfortunately, that's where all the money is, so the Golden Rule applies.

Until domestic enemies of our constitution start to pay for their crimes such unconstitutional infringements will keep happening over and over and over again!

Truthfully, the last time I was scheduled to go into New York City was September 11, 2001. I stopped off in Philadelphia and got the word about the twin towers. I don't miss it at all.
