Both groups were fired with the same rifle, one after another, a 9mm AR.

That’s what I was trying to say in posts 3,5,10 and 14 but sometimes a photo is worth 1000 words.

John, try that carbine with some 115 grn bullets off the shelf and I bet you will be very happy. My HP 995 is a tack driver at 50 and great at 100, even with iron sites.
My guess is your gun just don't like the ammo you feed it.

I have tried 115gn FMJ with 6.0 Powerpistol at 25 yards and it shoots great. I never tried them at any other range as I am trying to work up cast bullet loads. I basically shoot home made bullets in everything I own except .22 and .25.

Hey, as we get older, our heads get thicker.

Haha, you are not telling me anything I haven’t already found out. I was right where you are now, trying to get results out of something that wasn’t going to give me what I wanted.

Just trying to save you the same frustration.

I'm awake and have been shooting since the ice age left us. Here is what I found out. 1) my sizing die that said it was .357 was actually about .355. :shocked3: I sent that off for some credit from Lee. Additionally, I glued a pencil eraser behind the trigger as an over travel stop. After filing it down, the trigger drops just as you hit the stop.

I then worked up some loads that really were getting sized .357 and it turned out that 4.2 WW231 turned out to be the ticket for my Sub 2000. Between the bullet size, trigger travel and different load, I know can shoot a 1 inch ragged hole from the bench at 50yds with a scope mounted. With my Center Point Red Dot sight, I can keep a 2 inch group.

    I'm now a happy camper.

BTW, did I say how fun a PCC is to shoot? :D
