    I inherited this rifle from my father it is missing its magazine, and I have no idea who the manufacturer is. I know its a 30-30, and from the mid to late 70's. I have searched the entire gun and can not find any identifying marks. Any help would be appreciated.

    I'm going with Savage 340.

    I can't believe there's nothing on the barrel with some form of model name and number.

    May be something under the scope mount. Belay my last. It is under the scope mount.
