427 to 549 is insane pricing for a chunking looking single shot rifle.

H&R/NEF were twice the rifle at half the price.

A person can buy a nice bolt action for 549 bucks.

Those are MSRP prices. Expect street to be 80% or so. $340-$440 ish.
And H&R/NEF were half the price no doubt, but were no where near twice the rifle; more like half the rifle at half the price at best.

Which is why they aren't made anymore.

Agreed! Love the single shot and new lever shotgun they have now too.

    New Henry Shotguns too ...

But those wouldn't be rifles would they ... or would they ???

    Lever Action .410 Shotgun

    Pretty sweet, just the same.

For that kind of money, they could have designed a single shot rifle that didn't look like a Rossi.

Or they could have taken the R-D money and figured out how to put a loading gate in the their receivers.

Instead of building an overpriced lever gun with Marlin Model 60 Tube Feed Technology.

That 410 lever is very appealing.
As far as the 327, it is a very interesting round and if I weren't already so heavily invested in the 357 Mag, I would give it serious consideration.

I really appreciate Henry's position on American manufacturing; "Made in America or not made at all"

I really have a lot of fun shooting groundhogs with my Henry Golden Boy. I put a Cabelas scope on it with a Henry cantilever scope mount. It's a nice looking fun gun to shoot.

I think I will pick up one of their 1860 Henry rifles now that they came out in 45LC. I am trying to decide if I want to wait for an engraved version...

I have a H&R Handi Rifle in .35Whelen. Love that little gun. I only paid $230 for it at Dicks. I would buy a Henry lever rifle if they had the loading gate. Not interested in that tube feed set up they use. Would be nice for them to actually build something original instead of just another copy. Speaking of, looks like they are selling a copy of the Browning BLR now.
