    1 year ago I didn't own a lever gun.

Top to bottom, order I got them:
Marlin 1895 GBL in .45-70 Government. Bought it used here. It's really a handful! Quite a kick to it.

Henry Big Boy .357 Magnum. Really a fun gun to shoot. Very accurate and almost no recoil.

Henry Big Boy .44 Magnum. Got this (mostly) due to a Wal Mart close out smoking deal. Just cleaned it and mounted the scope today for maiden outing this weekend.

    Hell yes. Nice work. :party29:

Went to the Gettysburg show today- thought I’d see a nice selection of lever guns, not so much. On the way back stopped in Dick’s in Frederick and crossed this one off my list. Brand new 1895GBL in .45-70, been looking for one passively for some time and can’t wait to shoot it.

Mrs Occam got her first Henry. Really wanted her own 22 lever gun, and their “American Eagle” is, to her, “jewelry that shoots.” She loves it, and she’s good with it.

    Two Marlins in .45-70

The blued one is a lightly used 1998 "JM" stamped 1895G model I picked up from a guy in Pennsylvania. Excellent shape aside from a few handling scuffs. It came with a Weaver scope base which I have since removed and given away. Waiting on the Buffalo Brand Leather sling and buff cuff, GrovTec swivels and Skinner Express peep sight in Black Gold to come in for it.

The stainless one is a NIB, never-been-fired 2007 "JM" stamped 1895GS model I got on GunBroker.com from a guy in Alaska. He bought it to send to Wild West Guns to have it turned into one of their Co-Pilot guns (two-piece) and ended up buy an already completed Co-Pilot from them and stuck this one in his safe for 13 years - it still has the tags on it. I have ordered GrovTec swivels, a Diamond D Custom Leather sling and butt cuff for it. I have also ordered a Skinner Guide Gun ghost ring sight set for it.

Both rifles are JM stamped and have Ballard rifling and not Micro-Groove rifling.

Filled a hole in my lever action collection, a model 71, in 348 Winchester. I’ve wanted one for some time now. Although this one is not a Winchester, it’s a exact copy made by Browning. From what I’ve researched ,Browning made a total of 4,000 of these rifles in the 80’s.

The 348 Winchester Cartridge, was only available in the model 71, making both the gun and the cartridge unique.

Here’s a quick picture I took of it in my house, I promise to get better pictures of it, and post them here.

That’s pretty. They make that in .357 ?

    What they cost?

Dare I ask what you paid for it,, I have many many guns,, but this one is on my must acquire,,,

Just picked up my first lever gun. It is used but in immaculate condition. A Marlin 1895SBL in 45-70. It is waiting for a Mason leather cartridge cuff and sling, and a vortex diamondback 1.75-5x32 scope.

    Howdy All!

I am soon taking possession of a like new 1998 1895G. I am thinking that I am going to go for a Skinner Winged rear sight. I have great experience with Skinner's on 1895's in the past. This DOES have the side receiver screws for the Williams. Being familiar with Skinner's, that's where I would like to go. But! Is there ANY reason to go the William's route?

Oh yeah. Skinners are great! I'm familiar with the Alaskan line. I do some work with peep sights.

    Post your henry!!
