We know they're no friends, but I found the wording used to be interesting...

Just now, on Watters' World, the President of the Brady Campaign said he has no problem with the ability of law-abiding citizens to possess firearms.

I have a feeling he stepped in it, and the segment was edited, but roll with it.

Well they don't have an issue with ownership, they just want it so limited and controlled and taxed and regulated that all that remains is the essence of the right.

Most of the leftist whackos say that right before they talk about legislation designed to restrict or outlaw that very same thing. F'em.

It's the same way Planned Parenthood gets their number that 90%+ Americans support abortion rights. They ask questions like,

If the fetus was non-viable and carrying it to term would never produce a live baby AND would kill the mother, would you support aborting this pregnancy?

Answer yes and they say you support abortion. These guys don't care if we all own a single shot .22 that has a five foot barrel and is locked up at the local sheriff's office when we're not in our semi-annual permitted range outing.

Ask any Dem member of Congress or of the Maryland General Assembly whether they support the Second Amendment.

Almost to a person, their canned response is, "I support the Second Amendment, but __________ (insert caveats/restrictions/exceptions).

None of them (or precious few) will say they think it should be repealed.

They all support the Second Amendment, so I guess we have nothing to worry about.

Remember, Mike Miller brags that he has more guns than you do. No worries. :sarcasm:

    Everything that you need to know about them can be found on their website;

Never trust your enemy. When they tell you that they agree with and support your positions, they will stab you in the back at the first and every chance they get.
They are just another socialist control group that doesn't care about your rights or beliefs and are run by people that think that they know what is best for you and for society as a whole.

google is your friend, I am not.
Brady Campaign spokeman is a liar....

That said, I do think that over the next 12 -24 months we will see a big split in philosophy among the anti gun groups. The big $20 million forced error in Nevada, the 2016 election losses will take their toll (leaks about Demanding Mom Shannon Watts are just the beginning).

I think that we will see a split, one group will take the leftist traditional gun prohibitionist approach, another will take a more moderate realpolitik approach and even support licenced CCW, to contain the losses. If you think this is crazy, this is what happened when famous internet inventor Al Gore lost. I frankly expect Bloomberg group to take the more moderate approach because Bloomberg is more practical. He did not get to be a billionaire by being an ideologue. Shannon Watts moving to Colorado to run for Office foreshadows this. But its always hard to predict how shake ups shake out.

The fallacy in trusting the "moderate" gun restrictions can be described in one word: incrementalism. They have been doing this for 80 years, and each "reasonable" measure just tightens the noose another notch, becoming the new baseline for their next squeeze. Just like a python kills its prey, they will not stop until eventually the 2nd Amendment will not be able to take another breath.

I attribute their shift to The HildeBeast's loss.

Over the past 2 or 3 years since she declared her candidacy, the gun-control groups ratcheted up their rhetoric and demands as she did hers, thinking she had a lock on the election. They started believing in their own BS and doubled-down on it. She lost and NOW they need to dial it back.

Next up, more "common sense gun safety measures" a la Chris Van Hollen.

The Emperor has no clothes as their latest softening of position exposes. Their conciliation isn't bipartisan, it's deceitful. We all know why we distrusted them before, so why trust them now after they were ready, willing, and almost able to register then confiscate the ONLY thing we had left to stop their march towards tyranny. Progressivism > Socialism > Communism and ultimately disarming We the People.

We can't afford to let them 'lick their wounds' and regroup. We should push pro-gun candidates and legislation locally and nationally and challenge their faux 'move towards the center' with strong 2A stances. We need to blunt their warmed-over Clinton strategy from the 90's ...

    Triangulation (politics)
The term was first used by U.S. President Bill Clinton's former chief political advisor Dick Morris as a way to describe his strategy for getting Clinton reelected in the 1996 presidential election. In Dick Morris' words, triangulation meant "the president needed to take a position that not only blended the best of each party's views but also transcended them to constitute a third force in the debate." In news articles and books, it is sometimes referred to as "Clintonian triangulation". Morris advocated a set of policies that were different from the traditional policies of the Democratic Party.

The Mighty Midget may be practical concerning business matters, but TMM the ideologue just keeps on writing those checks.
