    How is burning a political billboard a hate crime unless there was other motivation present? Sounds like MDOP, arson and malicious burning charges to me.

    Well, lets see, I would take it that the person that did this probably didn't like President Trump. Knowing that if they did in fact burn the billboard, they were committing at least a crime of arson. Knowing that they would be committing a crime, to burn down the billboard must have involved some type of hatred for the person depicted on the billboard. If this person was not found to be lighting any other billboard, but just a President Trump billboard, that billboard was targeted. That billboard must have been targeted because of the distain or dare I say hate for President Trump.

    Therefore, it was a hate crime.

    You certainly have to agree, this person didn't do it because they were a supporter of President Trump.
