Just like the title says (for the impatient members amongst us). :)

Once again, the season is here. Well, almost. Starts on September 11th. An ominous date for deer destruction to be sure.

All pics from the field to the freezer are welcome.

So don't be a bunch of Mambi Pambis - Hit the woods and whack some Bambis.

Good luck. Stay safe. And donate to FHFH is possible.

google is your friend, I am not.
    License.... done
    tackle pre-whack check ... done
    early scouting ... done
    day off ... done

Last year I did not get out until late September. This year I want to whack two by that date.

I can't wait either to send an arrow down range. I have a few does on the trail cam that are probably going to be a sure thing. My wife called me at work yesterday and asked about the bucks on the property I'm hunting. I said they have to be using a different route because there are none on the trail cam. When I arrived home yesterday I discovered she ran out to Cabelas and bought me another trail cam to put on the other side of the property. I think she is still a keeper. Now it's time to find out where the 10 pointer frequenting the property is entering.

I saw a three deer Sunday, one I just saw a flash of its tail and gone another doe just ran by my blind scared out by something. And a spike that didnt give me a good shot.

Then last night I got my first elk with a bow!:D I'll post a pic later. approximately 18yrds and my Muzzy broadhead took her down in under 30yards...Only my second elk ever. Glad I got a controlled hunt cow tag.:D

I can't wait for opening day tomorrow.

I am chomping at the bit to leave work and get the gear laid out for in the morning.
