I picked up the Chicom SKS at Classic about a week ago, came out to $460:

Dripping with cosmoline. Almost no bluing, but the more I look at it the more I like the battlefield pick-up look. The stock is in great condition, I like the grain to it. Cleaning rod is there, all parts are there, nothing bent or missing. Serials match. Stamped trigger guard and the bore is nice, sharp, and shiny.

I'd say it's a tad bit steep but people have been getting lucky with the hand-select from what I hear. I got a pristine Yugo SKS at a small gunshow the next week for $400 OTD.

Looks good! Price could be better but in this day and age once you get her cleaned up she’ll be a great shooter and a beaut to look at

Any thoughts on a 9mm conversion barrel? Can I take my 213 9x19 upper or barrel and swap it?

X25 isn’t as cheap as it used to be :(

I looked in to that with my Yugo M57 a bit ago. I forget exactly what I found, but I think the answer is probably if you swap the slide and barrel. Just the barrel is going to require fitting in to the slide.

Lastly, magazines aren't likely to work great because of the cartridge length difference.

So I think the answer is, you can probably get it to work, but it might not be super reliable and it will almost certainly take work.

Simpson has been listing a ton of Swiss (and Swedish) rifles & accessories the past few weeks.
Not cheap but good stuff (K11, K31 etc).

Whoever is in charge of pricing needs to back off the crack. I remember when I bought my “unissued” K31 from Samco for $599 and everyone laughed and said I was a fool ....

Although, there are good values every once in a while. I didn’t check to see if they are still around, but as of yesterday they had a fairly nice K11 and a fairly nice IG96/11 for around $495. Haven’t seen those prices in a while.

A good thread about just this subject going on in the Swiss forum of GB. Some Swiss members posted interesting info about what's happening in CH. Enlightening!

The 213 has a spacer in the mag slot. Needs to be removed so a x25 mag fits. Barrel and slide changed also.
